The Hyland crew take on the world!
One crazy Familyβs experiment with leaving it all behind and taking a chance. We dove into adventure head first, and we want you to come along for the ride!
Had the BEST day exploring Fall Creek Falls State Park! Although short (.8 miles) this was definitely one of the more technical hikes we’ve done with the boys. But they did great! Of course the highlight of the hike for the boys was throwing rocks into the water π oh, and the m&m’s dad bought to bribe them on the way back up π¬ We’ll be back to do more exploring soon!
Finding all the fun ice cream spots! This is definitely one of our favorites in Downtown Chattanooga!
We dug holes in the sand, played some Prstomet (flinger),swam in the water, played with new friends, and ate dinner by the water. Solid beach day!
Sledding fun in downtown Chattanooga
Had a great day exploring The Cumberland Caverns with Christina’s cousin Anna and Aunt Julie!! But first we had to stop in the little town downtown of McMinnville for some treats! Nathaniel of course picked a sparkly donut with glitter on it and Maddox picked a regular chocolate donut. Fun was had by all!
A little downtown Chattanooga fun! First Rock the River Front festival, next hot chocolate and peanut butter cheesecake brownie for the boys (mom and dad had a beer and Aperol Spritz) at the Frothy Monkey then played at the Choo Choo hotel/museum pavilion. Solid family day in the books!
Oooooo watch out Tennessee, 1-3 inches of snow coming!
This makes me crack up a bit, especially after living in the mountains of Colorado. We’ll see how the locals handle this severe weather.
The boys had a fun time playing in the river yesterday! Spring has definitely arrived in Tennessee πΈ
A big day in the life of every man. The First time at Waffle House!!
Unfortunately for Christina the boys loved it, and will surely ask to return for more chocolate chip waffles π
Well it's a bit tough to do much gardening at an apartment (except Guerilla style) but we're gonna help the boys give it a try!
So they each have some flowers, strawberry starts, carrots, and broccoli. And yeah if we can get a broccoli stalk to grow in those pots I'll consider them Super Green Thumb Masters, lol
With an average 58 inches of rain a year, we have had rain almost every day we’ve been here. While the locals consider the weather cold lately, coming from Colorado this is mild and enjoyable for the month of February. We explored a near by park where the river was rushing. The boys played the sink or float game (thanks blippi) with anything they could find and ran around with random kiddos.
